TEAM Turner shares the joys of Easter

Community homes housing disabled adults found Easter joy through Turner Industries employees Nishea Isaac and Tina Kent, and the rest of TEAM Turner. Nishea and her group brought baskets of hydrangea flowers and supplies to make colorful jewelry to help brighten the Easter season. While there, Nishea entertained residents with bracelet making activities. "It was nice to see them all smile and enjoy the hydrangea baskets and bracelets," Nishea said.

Easter also brought smiles to other community homes in the southern Louisiana area. Tina Kent and other TEAM Turner members joined the Easter Bunny as they made a special appearance complete with Easter eggs for an Easter egg hunt. Tina, who managed the event, said just being there and seeing their faces was worth all the preparation. "To be a part of the little parties we do for these homes is one of the most rewarding experiences anyone could have," Tina said.

TEAM Turner brought smiles to adults who take life one day at a time, not taking any moment for granted. Their experiences brought joy to not only the people they influenced, but themselves as they realized the positive impact they made in the community. Each one commented, "Get involved, you won't regret it."
